IMPs, vulnerable

Partner and I bid (no interference):
1C - 1S; 1NT - 2D (new minor forcing)
Here I should rebid 3NT, but thoughtlessly chose 2NT.
Partner jumped to 4S.
What should I do?
Pass.
What should I do if instead over my 3NT rebid, partner bids 4S?
Pass.
(partner said in both cases, I should drive to slam, which is cold)
Our jump shifts here (1C - 2S) would be weak.
What kind of hand is partner showing?
*Not* a hand that is slam invitational on its own.
- he might have a hand that is just marginally
better than a responder 1S / 4S auction
- he might have a four card heart suit
