IMPS, only you are vul.
Opener: KJxx, AKxx, AQxx, Q

The auction (opponents are silent)
Opener Responder
1D 2D (inverted - limit or better)
2H 2S
3S 3N
P
2h and 2S both showed extra values;
The hand provoked some discussion, as 6N is ice cold.
Opener: you should try 4C instead of 3N; I showed extras.
Responder: You have about a king and queen more than
you showed. It must be safe for you to
bid 4C. Since you didnt bid 3C, this must show
second round control . . .
So- who should be moving this hand toward slam? And how should
he do it?
(At the other table, the opps had a RKC misunderstanding and reached 7N
- thinking they had a slam swing to compensate for, they broke discipline
and bid to a couple of hopeless games, resulting in a blitz.)

I would have bid 4C (splinter) over 2D. This hand is worth a slam move,
however slight. The spade queen and diamond king make game strong by
themselves, and either missing ace gives a play for slam, both minimum
holdings for the raise. Difficult to expect to bid to 6NT, no matter how
cold it may be.
