Doesn't the correct answer to this depend if we are playing that 4H =
Michaels (Spades plus minor)? If we are, then 4H followed by 5S is a
clear winner (because if partner does bid 5D he must be showing a
nearly self-sufficient suit, and in that case we can still get out in
5S).
If 4H isn't clearly Spades + minor by agreement, then I'm on the 5S
bandwagon, which I think must ask for heart control (although tomorrow
I'll pick up QJT9xxxx; A; AKx; A and want to use 5S to ask for a spade
honor.....).
