First, the first sea zone or territory outside of the space the plane
began in counts as "1"/

Battleship bombardments hit in a 4 or less and a die is rolled for each
battleship bombarding. The same rules apply to destroyers.

AA guns only protect the territory they are in, not adjacent sea zones.
