Does anyone know if this works? I'm trying to run it to analyse just
one move. It's been running now for 3 days on quite a fast PC and
still hasn't come up with a response.

The only reason I'm leaving it is because me and a friend had a bet
for the answer, but not sure if it's ever going to finish.

While it's not exactly the Ackerman function, the time to finish a rollout grows quite rapidly with increasing ply. People who study algorithms would say that the rollout has exponential order with respect to ply.

My back of the envelope calculation says don't hold your breath.
