Let's suppose that you are rated 1900, and your opponent is rated 1700.
(Elo based FIBS style ratings).
Your probability of winning various match lengths can be calculated from the
fibs-rating formula:
3 pts. - 60%
5 pts. - 63%
7 pts. - 65%
9 pts. - 67%
Are you saying the servers rig the dice for matches of less than 9 points,
but 9 point matches get fair dice?
In the time it takes you to play a 9 point match (which you lose once in
three), you could play three or four 3 point matches (good chances of one or
more games).
Why on earth do you think you are more likely to lose money playing 3
pointers against fish, than you are playing 9 pointers against good
opposition?
