That LSU plays in a tougher conference is factored into the computer
rankings. It's a factor for sure.

That LSU beat VT head to head is a factor as well, and a larger than
average factor, but the fact that the game was at the beginning of the
season makes it not as important as if it were say, the last game of
the (reg) season.

You're just ignoring what the computers were saying last two weeks of
the season. Amazing really, you pretty much have the right side of an
argument for the first time in as long as I know you here, and you're
gonna mush it all to hell by insisting that you're not just "right"
but absolutely right without any reasonable doubt otherwise. Dumbass.

I should add to that last statement that "in my opinion" you pretty
much have the right side . . .

I dont see where there could be any reasonable doubt in this
case..

That's because you're ignoring the real life, actually happened,
scenario of the computer rankings. It's almost as if you completely
ignored Brian's well thought out, and hard to argue against (as
evidenced by *you* not arguing directly against his specific point(s))
position, and just went right to bashing Brian.

thats the reason that i am "right". I agree that the LSU-VT game
would be a bigger factor if it were played towards the end of the
season rather than the beginning but a 48-7 shelacking is important
whether they played on New Years day or Valentines day.

That's what *I* said . . . that it's a bigger than average factor.

Missouri beat
Kansas head to head late in the season to send them to the Big 12
title game where they lost to Oklahoma..

With the loss to OK, I was leaning towards OK being #2, but I had Miz
right there, despite the loss. OK is the reason that I wasn't sold on
completely lock stock and barrell on VT.

But now in hindsight, look at what hapened to OK against WV, and what
Miz did to Ark. If we could have known theoutcomes of the bowl games,
which of course is not possible, I think - in hindight - that Miz
should have been playing against OSU tonight.

somehow the Kansas team which
didnt make the conference title game was rewarded with a trip to the
Orange Bowl and Missouri was sent to the lesser regarded Cotton
bowl..

Solely based on the Miz loss to OK, imo.

sometimes a win later in the year doesnt matter as much as we
think.

I know you live on a different planet than the rest of us, but in
reality, if you want to win this debate, you're going to have to
directly counter Brian's specific argument about the end of season
(last two week's worth) computer rankings.

I'm not saying it can't be done . . . just that *you* will never be
able to do it reasonably and logically.
