Gut feel here.
LSU is doubly FORUTNATE to be playing in this one.
Yes, it took other teams to LOSE for each of these
teams to get in.
But OSU we can see, with an 11-1 record.

LSU, with 10-2 regular season record the same as VT,
entered their Conf title game and *BARELY ESCAPED*
with a win when they were LOSING with only 4 mins
left but got a LUCKY INT-TD to win against an opp
not near as good as the one VT beat by 14 pts (ie.
not a fortunate win for VT and it was against a
MUCH TOUGHER opponent!) SO already leading LSU
in the BCS standings prio to that game, VTech's
more convincing win **SHOULD HAVE** put them even
FURTHER AHEAD!!!
Certainly, the computer rankings *DO* still have
VTech ahead of LSU -- where they should be.
But for "double-dipping" by the human voters,
VTEch is shafted and LSU backdoor's it's way
in there.
In truth the 11-2 record (same as VTech) was fortunate
in itself -- not just from the lucky late INT-TD in
the championship game they were LOSING, but rather,
had ARKANSAS taken care of business against Bama and
KY, LSU wouldn't have even been in that Championship
game to have a chance to get an extra win!!!
Triple-LUCKY.

Maybe they win, maybe they don't.
It is afterall a HOME game for them.
QUADRUPLE-LUCKY!!!!

But they looked awful MEDIOCRE to me their last
two games (1-1) and only played EVEN with Florida and
Kentucky (1-1)...
Ohio State *DOMINATED* every game statistically except
that one off game they had with Illinois (even play)
where they were down -3 net turnovers that made the
diff in a 7 pt game...

OSU is the better team, IMO.
And unlike LSU, OSU has a score to settle from last
year's embarassment...

OSU travels well too, so it won't be dead silent when
they make some plays...

OSU +3.5 pin
OSU +140 pin
L...1h OSU +127 pin

2h OSU -.5 +100 greek- Hide quoted text -

The 2 teams most deserving to play for the national title are on the
fiield tonight in New Oeleans...

That's debatable.

LSU played in a much tougher
conference than Va tech and kicked the ever loving *** out of Vtech
in a head to head matchup..

Yeah, they kicked the ever lovin' *** out of VT, at the beginning of
the season, second game of the year, in the middle of the softest part
of their schedule, on the road, in the wake of the shootings. VT's
first five games were East Carolina H, LSU A, Ohio U. H, William &
Mary H, North Carolina H. There's a lot of circumstances there that
have to be factored in, and must have been, because as Brian points
out, near the end the computer had them ranked higher than LSU. Brian
makes a reasonable argument for VT . . . before the bowls started, I'd
say I was close to agreeing with him, although not completely
convinced. Now of course with their loss in the OB, in hind sight, I'd
have to agree that the better team is playing tonight. And of course
at least so far, they're playing very well. But hind sight is always
20/20.

I havent heard anyone other than you
complain about the losers of the orange bowl not playing for the title.

That nobody else (that *you* know) agrees with him completely, in and
of itself does not by a long shot automatically make him wrong.
There's that narrow minded thinking again, the kind of thinking behind
your racism.- Hide quoted text -

The fact that nobody else agrees with him doesnt make him
wrong...thefact that LSU plays in a tougher conference and completely
DOMINATED/HUMILIATED Vatech in the head to head matchup is the reason
he is wrong.
