Who to blame? All of the above. That means the current President and the

To say, Bush created a problem is not being honest.
That's your opinion, you're entitled to it, and I respect it and your
right to have it.
We disagree. Bush was and is still in charge of the mess he created.
Regardless of what went on before him, he was aware of the facts and
details, and aware of what the state of the country was in *before*
he made any decisions. What he did, on his watch is his
responsibility, in my humble opinion.
And in the opinion of not only the majority of those
who hold an opinion on the issue throughtout the world
but of those INSIDE AMERICA!!!
He didn't fix it as
quickly as we'd all like. But he addressed something that was swept under
the rug too long--just like dealing with the Taliban was.
He addressed Iraq after Bin Laden (Afghanistan/Taliban) attacked our
homeland. Had Bin Laden *not* attacked our homeland, do you really
believe that this country would have stood for and been in favor of an
immediate invasion of Iraq?
No rational person could argue that America would
have been in favour of such a thing...
I'm sorry, but as happy as I was to see
Hussein captured and brought to justice, I can't help but cringe at
the *way* it was done, in the wake of an attack on American soil by
somebody else.
Absolutely.
I want a criminal in my city to be brought to justice
too...I just don't want the police essentially
"planting evidence" to get him...
The police would beceom the criminals the minute
they do that...
I'm glad he
learned from 911, but I agree, the results have been well below
expectations.
Hmph . . . learned from 9/11 . . . shall we even attempt to discuss
the intelligence that was ignored prior to 9/11 actually happening?
The reports given to Bush et al stating unequivocably that an attack
on US soil by Al Quada was in fact imminent? I feel like we IGNORED a
real imminent threat to our homeland and than focused our guns in the
wrong direction. There was an imminent threat allright to our country,
by Al Queda, not by Hussein.
Correct.
My comments are directed to idiots like Collard and Catron that think
GW Bush will go down in history as one of the great American
Presidents.
I don't agree he will go down as an all-time great but I think in 30 years
when we see how much easier it is to second guess strategies than to have
strategies to second guess, everyone to the right of Michael Moore WILL have
more respect for him.
Well, we disagree. I think his legacy will be that of one of the
biggest bonehead Presidents we ever had.
Clearly.
Non-Americans hate Americans in larger numbers than ever before.
The ones electing pro-American leaders? You spend too much time worrying
about what some clown sipping his wine in north France thinks of your
country. My President answers to me, you and my neighbors. Period. He was
re-elected by the opinions that count.
Maybe the tide is slowly starting to change now that the dems have
regained some control and the world sees what we as a majority of
Americans think of the present administration. Maybe those electing
pro-American leaders abroad, realize that America will be changing
with a *new* administration coming. But let's not sweep under the rug
what the world's opinion of America and Americans turned into while
George was at the helm.
It's in the toilet along with bush-league's
favourability rating by AMERICANS!
