I guess I can't disagree with your point that it serves no positive

Hey, why not go all the way? In the recaps, erase all losing bets, and
list as 0-0 all losing days/weeks/months/season to date.
Is Collard *really* asking why not do that?? Somebody must have
poured "Stupid Juice"into his martini this afternoon.
Somebody *really* asked for Steve not to list losing streaks. That's gotta
come from a Stupid Juice buzz too.
Brian sees no reason to point out a person's shortcomings in a
friendly environment when nothing is on the ine. We're*supposed* to be
helping each other, not ramming it down each others throats for
losing. By pointing out a person's futilty, one is only giving
ammunition to the trolls that do all they can to *discourage* a
peaceful, positive environment. Brian, thinks so, I agree, and
apparantly, based on his reply, so does Steve.
HAMMER-NAIL-HEAD, HC, as usual.
*You* don't think so, because *you* will take the opposite sideof
Brian's argument, regardless of right or wrong.
This is true, too.
Collard insulted me. I responded. He did it again
and I responded again. Animosity built as a result
of what HE started (insults) and eventually this led
to me *PROVING* he is a LIAR, a fraud, a bigot, a cheater,
deceitful, and a smug jingoist. I may have left a few
out but my fingers are growing weary of typing...
Anyway, having been exposed, and constantly turning the
tables on him and his outright LIES/deceit/malicious innuendo
coward has and will continue to oppose Brian at every turn.
Should a detective be concerned if the pedofile he exposed
and caught redhanded doesn't like him?
In truth the more coward opposes me the more fun it gets
because then he'll be on the WRONG SIDE of an argument
so many more times than not!
It simply *must* be that way, because you're just too smart to not
understand that there is nothing positive to be gained by rubbing
somebody's nose in their futility.
Right.
I think everybody gets it...well, except collard...
So with this statement of mine, am I now, according to your logic,
also too sensitive, and afraid that a bully is going to make fun of
me? Are you getting any of this?
Probably not...
Sometimes it takes carrying an idea to its logical conclusion to illustrate
its stupidity.
The only thing you've illustrated by taking the argument to that
extreme is your own ignorance. You used an example that compares an
elephant to a house fly.
Bulls-eye!
Your smugness prohibits you from being offended. What could anybody
possibly *ever* say to make you think that you're not right? About
anything.
Oy!
Well, there was that time regarding the
"career minor leaguer" issue withwhich he
attempted to be condescending, only later
to see that I BACK UP MY STATMENTS WITH
VERIFIABLE FACTS AND I *proved* HE WAS
DEAD WRONG....faced with that he had
little choice to admit being wrong though
NATURALLY he wouldn't leave it at that,
hell no, he had to make it appear as if
I was ALSO wrong...
Perhaps that is the overall context withwhich
you meant, ie. admitting to a "net" wrongness
not offset by someone else allegedly being wrong
too.
Everybody should have learned how
to handle losing as a child (if not their parents did a poor job), and
surely anybody who cannot handle accurate accounting of results should not
only not be in this contest but should not be on Usenet or any other public
forum, the more time to spend in much needed therapy.
I have to agree with Collard on this point. Anybody that can't handle
accurate accounting of results, should definitely seek out therapy.
Hopefully Gary's health insurance will cover his costs.
That was entirely my point. Brian protested Steve accurately reporting
losing streaks, and I disagreed. Thanks for your support.
Thanks for the excellent example of the Collard "doublespeak" that I
referred to in a previous post.
Excellent example.
And no doubt what gary coward would consider,
at least for HIMSELF, um, "HONEST debate"
The point wasn't the accuracy of the reported losing streaks, but
rather what the benefit was of reporting on them.
Yep.
Brian laid out a very well thought out argument, making some excellent
points showing the problems associated with such reporting. That Brian
was speaking for a silent majority, and that you turned it around and
made it seem like he was complaining because *his* feelings were some
how hurt, is just par for the course, with the way you argue. You
argue to win the argument, not to gain insight getting to the right
place.
HAMMER-NAIL-HEAD!!!
And that's because in your mind, you can never be wrong about anything
in the first place.
At least not a "net" wrong where the other guy
is a "net" right....
