I had been running it without any problems too, then it just started
acting up. I thought it might have something to do with something at a
higher level like the modem or firewall since it was happening on both
machines until it worked with Firefox. Well, I guess it could still be
something from one of them and a compatibility issue with IE. I don't
recall if I have upgraded to 8.0.
