I for one do not find the profit motive the best approach. The motive
for profit is the motive for profit -- nothing more. The motive to
cure, or allievate pain is secondary.

Some people get into medicine for that purpose, but they use the medicines,
tools, and techniques developed by those chasing a buck.

Health care reform is about the insurance industry, not the health
care providers themselves. Insurance companies are in the business
for profit. Helping people is a side benefit.

We as a nation are spending too much on medical care. anyone who
walks into a doctor's office or a hosital is taking their financial
life in their hands. The sole purpose of the medical industry is to
make a profit.

The only way the medical industry can make a profit is by treating patients
successfully.

Tell that to the insurance companies who pad their bottom lines by
denying claims and canceling policies when policyholders get sick.
