Just for your information, Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala was released today. I
have already put it on my computer and am playing with it right now. I
thought the new boot splash was supposed to be Plymouth. And I'm not sure
what Plymouth is, but this ain't it. It's a minor annoyance, but I don't
like the brown splash that is with this, so I hope you will be able to
easily change it or perhaps custom design your own splash.
Naturally everyone and their brother is downloading it today. I finally got
it with bit torrent and that didn't take all that long. So I'm playing with
it now and will report if there is anything shockingly different. Would
appreciate hearing from any other RGPers, like Opie-Manager, who are also
into Ubuntu.
