And Jerry, can we quote you with
you cute little phrase "get over it"?

Hell yes. Kenned[y] was involved in
an accident. Get over it.

It was more than an accident. It was
criminal negligence.

Running off a narrow bridge at
night? What defines "accident?"

I'm not sure what you're getting at here.

I'm looking for the "criminal negligence" part.

The part where he allegedly left the scene of the accident, leaving
her to down.

Then that would be "alleged criminal negligence", for which the Grand Jury
found no evidence.

Amazing what money can buy eh?

Shiny side out, k00k.

Excuse me, as I don't want to enter into criticism of a dead man for
what he did, or failed to do, long ago. But calling someone names
because they make a possibly accurate assessment of the situation is
stupid. I doubt myself that money, as in direct bribery, was involved
but the family's wealth and fame, their pollitical power and the
ghosts of his martyred brother John (and the elder brother who died in
WWII was not forgotten then) certainly got him more lenient treatment
than an ordinary guy would have gotten. The finding of "no evidence"
astonished everyone I knew at the time. It was a whitewash.

Jerry has given the reason this happened and the reason he got away
with it: He was a spoiled rich kid. He did mature and he wound up his
life in an admirable fashion. He had many good qualities that people
who disagreed with him, such as myself, should admire. However, this
was a shamefl incident. People who admire the man should stop making
excuses for it.
