How about the shows?

Yea, how about them shows. It really brings them in.

Ballys has The Price is Right. Just like the TV show, except
it cost $50 to attend. Go to LA or NYC and you can see the
same or better for free.

Yet folks still go to ours. Why do you suppose that is?


Belligio has Cirque du Soleil. $100 for an obstructed view!
$150 for a good seat. Cripes, I don't need to fly halfway
across the country to see Cirque du Soleil, they come to
my city once a year, the tickets are cheaper, I get to go
home and sleep in my own bed after.

Yet folks still go to ours. Why do you suppose that is?


I'm looking at the celeberties playing in Vegas. Is Beyonce
really a celeberty? OK, but the cheapest ticket to see her
is $250, and a good seat is going to set one back $1000
(plus tax and fees). WTF? Might as well take the whole family.

Louie Anderson is only $54. I saw that guy
at the Improv on open mike night for free.

Yet folks still go to ours. Why do you suppose that is?


Ever go to a state fair?

Sure. When I lived in Oregon. Our state fair was great.


You take your family, you complain
it cost $10 each to get in .

You must have me confused with some other folks.


Or you can go to Vegas and see Carrot Top, Pauly
Shore, Anthony Cools, Jay White (and his tribute to
Neil Diamond), or David Brenner.

I live here and have never seen them.


They only cost about 50 bucks each and
you don't have to deal with tractors.

I like tractors. I used to drive one.


Let's take a middle American
city and see how it compares.

To what?


This week in Cincinnati one can see: A Chorus Line, Cold
Play, a Reds ballgame, Kieth Urban with Taylor Swift, DJ
Skillz, Tech 9, Celtic Woman, or Isis. The shows are full
length and the cost is half the cost of Vegas or less.

Yet folks still go to ours. Why do you suppose that is?
