Noone questions it MIGHT be a human.
The point is, it isn't a human yet.

ahhh, so when exactly, and i mean to the millisecond, does it
become
human?

Oh, it has been "human" all along. But to many of us, it becomes a
legal
person
only when it is alive and the umbilical cord is snipped.

So, you have a case like Scott Peterson, who killed his 8 month
pregnant
wife, and was convicted of two murders. Should he have only been
convicted of one? At how many months gestation should prosecutors
determine they should try you for double murder?

Excellent point, I have not heard a decent answer to this question yet.

There should be specific charges for killing a viable fetus. It should
also be an aggravating factor that the woman who was murdered was
pregnant.

The question which I have never heard a decent answer to from someone who
professes to be "pro-life" is this one: should doctors be legally
prohibited from supplying the morning-after pill to a patient who was
raped hours earlier? The answer has to be yes if someone is a pro-life
absolutist. But that is not a decent answer; in terms of wanting to live
in a decent society.

Actually, it usually takes about 12 to 48 hours for sperm to travel from
the vagina up the fallopian tube to fertilize an egg. Also, a morning
after pill prevents an egg from being fertilized at all, and is not
effective against an already fertilized egg. OTOH, the "abortion pill"
prevents an already fertilized egg from implanting in the uterine wall.

The morning after pill ("Plan B") should not bother pro-life absolutists
at all. RU486, OTOH, should.

You should tell this to the pro-life absolutists, because the
morning-after pill does bother the vast majority of them.

But let's make it more convenient for you. You would be against giving any
such pill to a rape victim more than 48 hours after the rape? Many rape
victims do not seek medical attention right away.

Convenient for me? I have no problem with it, I'm not a pro-lifer. I've
just recently started thinking that maybe once an egg is fertilized and
implanted, it should be allowed to be born.

I'm 100% atheist you know.
