The federal government can do anything it wants provided it does not violate
your constitutional rights.

the powers delegated to it by the constitution.

They can use the same rationale to ban the
public from possessing assault weapons as they do to ban other armaments.
They might be misguided, I grant you made a decent case there, but I don't
believe it rises to the level of a violation of your rights.

So as long as they permit me to wield a staff with a large knob on the
end my rights have not been infringed? I have to disagree.
