Think of a state of the art train in the same way as the space program.
It's a "feel good" project of which Americans can be proud.
When it's built, it'll be covered on the History Channel and the
National Geographic Channel, and everyone will then want to ride on it.
Sure. Billions of my tax dollars so the government can build and then later
mismanage a theme park ride so Californians can vacation in Vegas in 30
minutes instead of two hours. I'm overjoyed at this expenditure.
Did your personality finally cleave into two factions like mo charles'?
Based upon your posting history prior to this thread about the bullet train,
I cannot conceive of how you would actually support such a huge pork project
like that. Yet, you are. Go figure. mo charles has railed here about
government excess, incompetence, and corruption, yada yada yada and now he's
all a-twitter about the financial sector and doesn't trust the market to
correct the problem, but rather thinks that the federal government is the
solution.
The conservative mind is something to behold. Fer sure.
