i have a pop-up that is drivin me nuts .

it says that it is a notice that something is being blocked by a
firewall
, and it asks if I want to enable protection . there are 3 choices
like
"ignore , 'ask later " , but the first 2 are washed out , and you
cannot
click on them , thus leading you to click 'enable protection .
I clicked this and it is a download to purchase , but there is
absolutely
no way to get rid of it . I have tried everything I know to get rid
of
it
, but cannot block it .

it pops up about every 10 minutes

My normal popup blocker doesnt appear to phase it

there is no minimize , the only choice is to X it out , only to
have
it
return

any input ?

Can you post a couple pieces of info? Like, system version (i.e. XP,
Vista, etc), browser you are using (I.E., Firefox). Also, any way
you
can
take a screenshot and post it somewhere so I can see it?

I have a 5 year old HP.. I belive Iam running windows XP, and I use
Internet explorer .

It comes up in a small window right in the center . it appears to have
the
official windows colors and says :

Windows firewall has blocked the action of a harmful software

Name : Trojan-Keylogger.win32.Fung
Risk: High
Description : Fung is a spyware that records keystrokes and takes
screen
shots

That sounds real to me.

Windows Firewall is the firewall built into XP and Vista. You need to
get
rid of the Fung keylogger. For that you need an antivirus program. If
you don't have one, you can go to download.com and search "avg free",
install that, run a full scan, and it should kill the keylogger for you.

Ok .. i will try it .. and thanks for your prompt response and assistance,
i guess there is a little 'human being " left in all of us

I'm tired of fighting with you. Time for a newer gentler me.

otay!! i tried that download and at the end it said something about not
having a signature or something (whatever) , and i clicked ok , thought it
went thru , but still didnt do the trick

can i trust the site funky cold referred me to ?

it looks like a scare tactic to get me to but some protection software

when i click "go to download , a normal advertisement comes up , but
there
appears no way to click anything that basically says "go away " (in any
form )

i am not very experienced with screen shots or how to post them
