Re: Full Tilt Rakeback questions...

Well I finally got my account converted to rakeback on Full Tilt, and I

here would be able to confirm.

TRUE or FALSE

1) If you redeem Full Tilt Iron Man medals for $75 tokens, your rakeback
will ONLY be impacted if you use the tokens in overlay SNGs or tournaments

2) You Iron Man mid-year bonuses do NOT affect your rakeback

The two points above, which seem to me to be true based on what I have
read, really add to the ROI.

My understanding is that "rakeback" is based on another figure, which is your "managed money amount" <?> Which is the net amount of money that you generate that month.

What goes in is the rake based on the formula for the site.

What comes out is any money that was spent on *you*. Which could drop your monthly value to less than zero.

You then receive 27% (I think that is the usual rake amount) of that final net number. Which used to be monthly, but now believe it to be weekly.

This is what I believe to be true...

Until it is "spent" it is not taken out of your account. Meaning that the tokens do not come off your rakeback award, until you use them to enter a tournament. The same with FPP. They are not taken off your rakeback until you convert them into some sort of goodie (fpp tournament or store swag).

I also believe it to be true that even if you spend more than your current account amount, it doesn't carry over.

This means that you should spend your tourney tokens and fpp points in a different time period than you earn rakeback. This should maximize your rake and hence the value of your spiffs. If you don't than the value of your spiffs drops by 27%.

So, it is probably correct to predict when you are not going to play for a while, spend all of your tokens, and then cash in your fpp points, wait for the time period to pass, then start generating rake again.

But for most people, what would probably make sense is to group as much spiff activity as possible into short time periods, which will shorten the amount of time you can spend on Rake generating activity, and will increase their value (Especially if you can make your account go below zero). This would be more value than dribbling out evenly over time.
