Months ago, before the big poker raid here, a local career gangster who
is
fond of telling folk how much gelt he has got pissed when I said he was
wrong about the number of hands having an effect on flush flop
probability.

The person in question has objected to 'gangster' and it is true I always
have said 'criminal' when speaking to him.

Let's see: several times confessed to twice-monthly cocain runs to Miami for
a notorious (now, as well as then) drug dealer quite a few years ago ($5000
per run, his brother getting thje same), and to occasionally to raising Mary
Jane hydroponically, and had been running an illegal poker game for a few
months before the big raid.

Career? Yes.

Criminal? Yes.

Gangster? Let's say not although I don't know for sure why not.

Oh, keeping two sets of books for the IRS, for both the 'career' and
'criminal' part.

His construction employees are mostly Mexican. Illegal employer?

Beats me, and my message to his employees is "bienvenidos a los Estados
Unidos". EE.UU?

He challenged short pockets (me): how much.I had $850 chips and cash so
named that figure, and the exchange continued with him sounding like he
agreed to the bet but not explicitly saying so. (That's the way he
directly
threatens people, 'show you a .357, Joe', etc. To others he just directly
says: Shoot Joe".)

The poker game mastermind that got raided told him better so he diecided
he
hadn't made the bet.

Last night the 60-40 came up with him defending the idea that T8s was
'close' to KJ, and saying that we should run a bunch of hands and if it
came
up 60-40, that was close! Being suited raised the p for T8s a lot
apparently!

And he now says that although all the chips went into the pot pre-flop, the
question was 'after' the flop, when he hit his pair.

And the flush flop question, when the word 'flop' was always used, was
making the flush at anytime during the hand.

I ridiculed the idea and he flipped out and I said, 'oh, you want to
reopen
the flush flop bet?'

he said yes.
