Re: Full Tilt problem using Wine (Ubuntu/Linux)

The best you are going to be able to do is keep reporting the bugs.

But I suspect this problem will get worse not better overtime.

The Full Tilt client writers, as well as other poker client writers specifically write all sorts of stuff in non-standard ways. They are in a constant battle with cheaters and hackers. And they do things to obscure the behavior and do a lot of over the shoulder looking around and spy monitoring to see what is going on in the system, and then deal with that.

This makes things life for things like Wine very difficult, where they generally only are able to deal very well with the documented and the normal.

I suspect that if you are going to do this you are going to have to have a real windows installation through something like VMBOX or something else on your machine, if you want to run it well, and continue to run it well.

But, keep reporting the bugs, because as these things get squashed it will only make wine better. And good for the developers the clients are free.
