I was watching a $330 + $15 4 person game on Poker Stars with one winner for
the $1320. Down to 2 players when they started talking about splitting the
money by going all in each hand until it was over. One was in Rio de Janeiro
and the other in Brookline. Do they know each other or do they email Poker
Stars to have 1/2 of the money transferred to the others account or is it
just a matter of trust and they have each others home address? Seems like if
they know each other they could have worked together to get the other 2
players out and then split the money.
Thanks,

They may or may not have ever played together before, but just because
they are final two doesn't mean they know each other, the bigger the
field, the less likely they know each other (or have even played with each
other before). They both agree to make a deal by posting and folding, and
gettin a support guy to come to the table. when they both agree to a
deal, that is what they get paid, support will make sure they both get the
agreed upon amount, they don't have to do anything, that is why you get
support involved, so you don't have to trust another player who you don't
know.
