And we get nothing. This seems like the most likely outcome. Can't we do
better than that?


If we pour 300 million into your favorite Senator's lab, the 300 million is
gone and maybe we get nothing for it.



What did we get out of the $$$ we spent in Iraq? A war to secure oil only
to find out we need to stop using oil?

I wonder if this is another idea McPresident got from his recent meeting
with the oil lobby. Anything to keep us running those cars around. I
really don't know. Just my first impression.


Sounds good ... on all fronts, huh? Pour that money in there.


Cleaner coal, better nuclear, less volatile hydrogen, carbon fixation ..
it's not hard to find good places to spend money. Real, actual, spendable
money you can have even if you don't "win". Maybe somebody else can pick
it up half way?

This reminds me of the prizes churches sometimes offer to anyone who can
prove evolution is real. Of course, you can never win those.


A better battery is not bull***.
