If you would like to be more informed about true-random number
generation. I have a few pages about this technique on my website,

Get back to us when you get that perpetual-motion gizmo working.

This is just spam you're responding to,

Gosh, I hadn't realized. Thank God there are smart people like you to
help
me through this baffling maze they call Usenet.

but TRNGs are not at all mythical or crackpotty...

Did I say they were?

Yeah, pretty much.

======================

Oh good grief. Impaired grasp of simple logic noted.

Logic?  Where the hell is the 'logic' in "Get back to us when you get
that perpetual-motion gizmo working", other than to imply that the OP
was putting forth a crackpot idea?

==============================================

How does making fun of the original poster (for self-promoting here instead
of...oh, say a mathematics or statistics group....

I guess his reference to poker (and other gambling games) wasn't much
of a clue, huh?

, and needing to create a
brand new alias just to post to RGP) imply that I think TRNG's are mythical
or crackpotty?

Uhhhh....you didn't say anything at all about his creating an alias
for the purpose, nor does that have anything at all with your use of
the phrase in question.

It doesn't, that's how.  If you want to make inferences that broad, then
yeah -- you've got a warped view of simple logic.

You have a warped understanding of the word "logic".

Sheesh, I have a background in CSci and pure math -- I have some passing
knowledge of RNGs, pseudo and true.  If you need to pretend I said something
I'd never say, then all I can say is sleep tight, Pumpkin.

Maybe you ought to employ some of that impressive brain-power in an
effort to learn the meaning of what "perpetual motion machine" is used
as a reference to, especially in derisive statements such as yours.
Assuming the ignorance you're communicating here is legitimate.
