Hello All,
Quick story. So I go downtown to play at Greektown over the weekend (I
probably should not have I still have wood to buy for my deck). My GF
just had her commencement for Wayne State and later that night we went
over to her girl friends house, went to the bar and went to the casino to
'sober up' before we drove back home. Well the 'sober up' part along with
the fact that I played poker may give you an idea of where this story is
going.
I went to play just for fun and really was not playing like I would if I
wanted to make some loot. Just a way to pass some time while the water
did its thing.
So they have 3 3-6LHE FK tables up and I get sat immediately. I sit next
to (to his left) a 'regular' whom I have played with many times, but never
talked to and he always seemed kind of grumpy.
I sit and watch the table for a minute and decide that even though I am
drunk I can outplay the table if I get aggressive enough. So I proceed to
raise non premium hands which really pisses the guy off next to me. He
says something like 'fucking raising all the time with ***' I told him to
shut his fucking mouth because he was not in the hand he made a comment
on. He said some bull*** and we went back and forth a few times before
the dealer had to tell us to settle down.
First time in a LONG time this happened to me. The only other time was a
'tv scooter' on St Paddy's day 2 years ago who accused me of slow-rolling
MY OWN GF (and I NEVER slow-roll, but I did slow PLAY her in a BIG hand).
I had to put him in his place real quick and he ended up buying me a beer.
One quick outburst and that was the end of it. The way men should handle
things, you know? If he had a REAL problem with the way I was playing it
could have escalated to fist a cuffs, but obviously it didn't bother him
THAT much so I put him in his place and we said nothing more of the
matter.
I am a true gentleman even while inebriated.
