Nah, they can just spend a whole day schlepping around on a bus to the photo place, fill out the form, and probably another day to go pick it up, because we can't send something that important through the mail, can we?

Not an easy situation to imagine for anyone who's never been without their own vehicle since they were 16.

Really, I don't know what you're talking about. I assume you do, so please explain. Because in California, we get our drivers license or state ID, in the mail. Are you saying that you don't? What are you saying, that people have to go pick up their ID? I doubt that.

Anyway, what kind of grown ADULT does not have ID? You've got to have ID at some point, when you start buying malt-liquor and lottery tickets. In other words, even the poor people have ID.

Y'know what, Clave, it sounds like YOU are in agreement with Justices Ginsburg, Souter, and the other guy whats-his-name. This was the point of my post. As I said, I can't see how ANYONE would object to the requirement of people showing ID before voting. Yet here you are. Infuckingcredible!

You know, I kept trying to place that uber snooty, self righteous and pompous technocrat coming across in PP's posts. Its fuckin' Col. Klink from Hogan's Heros. RGP's very own Stalag Furher. He sees himself as superior to all the little peon Mexicans slaves in his domain and insists in seeing their papers at every turn. Ha, Herr Paul vonPopinJay!
