Re: Beldin-think. This merits a bump.

Well, I'll give you one thing Wuz. You either have more interest or more
patience, or both, than I do. Beldumb the Scrotum is an idiot and I kill
filed the moron months ago. That moron isn't worth the key strokes.

I know that most aren't interested in sub-threads run amok. But given
that he spends so much time telling everyone within ear-shot that
they're
retarded, and touting what he perceives to be his own brilliance...the
Beldin "Outlook is the standard!" rant that's been going on in the
"Politics, not science, defines global warmists" thread deserves some
attention. It should serve as definitive proof of just how haywire his
"thinking" is. In summary:

He insists that, because Microsoft Outlook Express is shipped with
Windows, it is the dominant news reader on the planet (forget for the
moment how untrue that is). Furthermore, he contends that this (false
premise) means that Outlook defines UseNet standards.

Funny enough? No? OK...there's more.

From this he further concludes that if Outlook incorrectly formats a
reply
to a UseNet post, it MUST be due to a fault in the software used by the
original poster...because, as he put it, "Outlook IS the [UseNet]
protocol" by virtue of being shipped with Windows, and anything that
causes it to mishandle a response must - by definition - be the product
of
software that is in violation of "the standard".

The fact that UseNet was around and standardized (via the NNTP
standard -
RFC 977) for over a decade before even the first version of Outlook
existed, and that Outlook is notorious for its shitty quoting
algorithm,
and lack of adherence to the standard, are simply inconvenient details
to
be ignored. The facts be damned. Beldin doesn't like them, and so has
created his own.

His commentary on ANSI control sequences is also fairly amusing, in an
'80s geek sort of way.

It should be clear by now that any attempts to find reason or purpose
in
this boy's thought processes must ultimately be doomed to failure. At
least we now have better insight into his obsession with fantasy works.
Reality just isn't his cup o' tea.

OK, you've now carried your impersonations too far. The first few were
amusing, but only because they had an air of reality about them. Now you
are
just getting stupid. There is no way Wuz (or any human being for that
matter) is this anal retentive.

Knowing that you're not as stupid as you often pretend to be I think we
can safely conclude that this is just another exercise of your well-known
propensity for dishonesty. You're full aware that the details of the
specific disagreement were not at all the point, which was with regard to
the thought processes and twisted reasoning of the individual in question.
But, as usual, all you know how to do is misprepresent what you're
responding to in order to...well...I don't know what you think it
accomplishes, really.
