what we need is CHANGE. the government can give us all healthcare
It works in Europe and Canada.
european and canadian healthcare are predicated on american innovation.
have you ever seen one of those places unwind their gov sponsored health
plans?
and jobs and good mortgage rates
If the government had effectively regulated the mortgage industry, we
wouldn't be having the current subprime crisis.
the government will never be able to effectively regulate business with
outsized returns. the government's always on the take, iceman.
and better teachers
There are many excellent public schools around the country. The best
1/3 or so of US public schools are as good as the best schools
anywhere in the world. And the US public university system is the
best in the world. Inner city schools are terrible, but that's not
the teachers' fault - there's only so much a school can do for kids
who live with poverty and violence and chaos every day of their lives.
the average private school teacher makes less than the average public
school teacher. they're willing to work for LESS, and their students do
far better on average. what are the public school teachers so afraid of?
LOL.
and better LIVES.
Let's start with mass transit, sustainable agriculture, and clean
energy.
okay. you have two senators leading your race, both of which have been
part of government for many years. what have either of them achieved with
respect to what you've stated?
we need to get away from the status quo, away from george bush's sold out
economy and tax cuts for the rich
For the last quarter century, there has been a massive upward
redistribution of wealth, and flawed government policies have been a
main reason for that.
the rich don't steal from the poor, they innovate. if anything, the
government's policies have hindered said innovation by punishing success
in our nation. want to see an insanely productive and rich nation? flat
tax the US at about 15-20% - game over.
- we need some CHANGE. our agents of
change? a couple senator lawyers - CHANGE!
How's that first MBA president working out? I'm enjoying watching
conservatives go bat*** while the Republican party establishment
lines up behind McCain. BTW Hillary and Obama aren't going to make
any substantial changes, and the Republicans will have at least 41
seats in the Senate and filibuster any serious progressive economic
proposals coming out of a Democratic house.
bush has been a terrible president as i've stated many times. mccain's a
lifer bureaucrat and unqualified to lead the nation. hillary and obama
are both brilliant, but they're whore lawyers and part of the problem. we
need an outsider with a record of MANAGEMENT achivement. there's only one
guy that fits the bill - romney.

Romney is better than McCain, but really Ron Paul fits the bill much
better.
He is the only one who "gets it"
