Tipping valet parking in Vegas

As I've mentioned, this my first Vegas trip. If I drive our rental car
from the Marriott in Summerlin to the strip, what's the "proper" protocol
for tipping the valet parking? At both ends, when I drop it off and when
I pick it up, or just when I pick it up? How much? I'm no high-roller,
and probably only stopping in for an hour or two, but I'm not a
cheapskate, either.
