The Left Wing is beside itself over this. How much coverage on, say,
do we see, hummm.in
It's all exactly as I've stated.
The President actively took a leadership roll in encouraging research
stem cell alternatives. And, it happened.on
The reaction from the Left was even discussed on the Brit Hume report
FOX. The Left has gone low profile while trying to figure out a way to
discredit this wonderful development in scientific research, but they
can't and they know it. Even the liberals on the show agreed that the
discovery is legit, and Bush deserves credit for this leadership role.
Oh, and don't bother posting links to some left wing dickhead's blog.
lol
You've obviously waded into water that's way too deep for you. I posted
a link to the blog of a scientist, as in someone who knows damn well
what he's talking about when it comes to SC research. I never realized
that "left" or "right" had a place in science. However, if you want
(and you're willing to pay me for my time spent to do something you
could do yourself if you weren't in denial), I could probably find at
least 1000 more articles, written by biologists of all political
alignments, maybe even guys that go to church and even voted for GWB,
that echo the sentiments expressed by Dr. Myers. In fact, if you
bothered, you could probably see those sentiments expressed by the team
who did the research in the first place.
I don't know where you're getting the idea that "the left" is conspiring
to discredit this research. But if Brit Hume is your scientific
advisor, I can see where you fell of the rails.
You don't "discredit" science, you falsify it. The guys who did the
research in the first place were the first to point out the shortcomings
of their findings, and if you had read beyond the first two paragraphs
of the press release, you would have learned that.
You're putting way too much stock in what the scientific community views
as a relatively modest finding that does little, if anything, to advance
SC research, and does absolutely nothing toward the medical application
of SC research on the whole, which is the attainable goal of ESC
research.
It's a little bit like riding to town on a donkey while leaving the
Ferrari in the garage and commending yourself for how quickly you got to
town. That's what your boy GWB did. Hardly an accomplishment if you
ask me.

"Discredit certainly is the appropriate term. It's a highly political
item. The left wants to keep the stem cell controversy alive as part of
the abortion issue. You do know that abortion is an issue of national
debate, right? "Fasifying" isn't relevant. The Left can't falsify the
discovery, but they can discredit the importance of the discovery with
regard to continuing with stem cell research.
As for the rest of your rant, the rest of your rant is obfuscation. No
one is saying that this new discovery is near the implementation stage.
Uh, it's a new discovery, duh!.
To point out Left wing bloggers as stating that it's a mistake to forget
stem cell research in favor of the new discovery, is just negative spin.
It's dishonest to imply that the new discovery is flawed and at the same
time having zero substantive reason to back up this characterization.
As far as the FOX news commentary goes, well, these people research the
scientific evidence of the scientists and all the scientific science,
scientifically. They don't announce the legitimacy of someting like
this, if there's any doubt. In fact, you don't know more with your
"thousands and thousands" of blog sites. So, stop your bull***.
Oh, and don't start in with the "the discovery hasn't been developed,
yet", again. We know that.
Bush is responsible for pushing/FUNDING this research issue and you owe
him a note of -thank you-. C'mon, rise above above your usual, petty
hate mongering for a change and give the president some credit.
