I'm actually surprised more people don't off themselves. So many
people live with chronic pain and disabilities that it's hard to
imagine how they continue to get up every morning and struggle with
their lives, especially when there is usually no hope for improvement
at all.

Then you just have people with crappy lives in general. They're really
poor, fat, short, ugly, stupid, whatever. You wonder why they even
bother.

I only know one person who committed suicide. Some guy I went to
school with hung himself in his parents basement. He was misunderstood
or something. I just remember thinking how clutch it was that he did
it on a Friday since the school wound up letting us out early that day
because of it. At least his life was completely wasted.

The suicide rate is too low IMHO.
