I am looking for information regarding the use of 3 screens and
multiple tables on Pokerstars. i currently only use my laptop and have
to adjust the screens for the tables, which is 9 sometimes, and I was
wondering if there is a better way of doing things. I have been
thinking about either getting two more screens or just using my 52"
Sharp LCD. My question is this: if you have more then one screen and
click on the "tile tables" button how does it size the tables and does
it do it for all the tables on all the screens at once? Secondly,
would using my TV be a bad idea, and if so why?

I know of no laptop that can handle two external monitors, but I could
be wrong. Many can barely handle one, or can handle a large monitor
only at a reduced color depth. Even if you can get the color depth, you
may get slow video response for a variety of reasons I won't get into
here.

If you really want to do it right, get a desktop. I built my own
desktop with a NVIDIA GeForce FC 5700LE graphics card, which has no
trouble with my two 1200x1600 monitors.

Whether or not you can use your Sharp 52" with the laptop is a technical
issue I can't answer without having specs to look at.

I don't want a desktop because I don't want to have a designated space
for my computer as I like the freedom of the laptop.

If you wnat the freedom of a laptop why do you want to attach it to several
screens? Would you have to have a dedicated space for them?

NO, I was actually wondering if i could use my 52" TV for the screen,
but thanks for reading.....

Still didn;t answer my question why if you want the freedom of a laptop do you
want to hook it up to a TV or 2 more monitors?

You stated that you don't want a desktop so you don't have to have a dedicated
spot for a computer. 2 monitors will cause this. If you want to hook it to the
TV you will need to hook up using a wire. Unless you are going to hook that
cable up each time you are going to have to run it somewhere.

Next issue, resolution. Your 52" plasma will not give the detail at it;s highest
resolution to paly many small tables. Too many tables going and you won;t be
able to tell the suits. So you want to go multiplpe monitors.

An additional monitor is not a big thing too hook up and should be standard on
amy laptop for the last 10 years. More then one and you will need a special
setup. Google multiple monitors on a laptop for a way to waste the cost of a
small car.

Enough detail for you?

I'm not sure i want another monitor, but if i did, could i just use my
TV. As far as being dedicated, that was only for a while when playing
and not all the time like a desktop would be.
