Re: Brett Favre.. NFL Embarrassment this year

You just don't understand. Unless you have grown up in this town,
it's hard to explain.

"immediate" future it doesn't matter in the total scheme of things.
That's what is so unique about GB - we have no big shot owner with an
ego or an investment to worry about. The team is owned by the
community and managed by a 7 person executive committee made up on
area business leaders who hire the President to run the Packers.
(Search currently ongoing to replace Bob Harlan - big shoes to fill)

Super Bowl or last place --- while we prefer the former, it doesn't
impact our loyalty to the team. This team lives and breathes Packers.

We are not fair weather fans --

I was at Lambeau Field yesterday for a business meetng (they rent out
the boxes during the non football season for business meetings) There
were literally thousands of fans wandering around on volunteer guided
tours just to get a peek at the field.

It should matter if that organization wants any kind of an immediate future.
Right now it has none.

Packer fans filled the stadium last year for a SCRIMMAGE. No matter
what, we love our Packers and Brett. He will end his career in GB.
Maybe this year, maybe it should have been last year --- but it
doesn't matter to us.

Has anyone considered that the Packers treat Farve with respect because of
his
past deeds. Sure they could have traded him off years ago but I think they
are
some real class by letting him decide his fate.
Besides they suck right now so who cares.

Very true. Plus, it is not like Packer fans will not stop going to games,
even if they go 0-16.
