How do you handle watch a board swing as it comes out. I had a hard time
controlling myself when this was happening. At the end everyone at the table
was
commenting about how sick it was.
I go all in short stacked with KsJs not a great had but I was in for the BB
and
would not survive another round on this 4 handed table.
I got one caller from the button with Ah6h. He was the chip leader but had
just
lost half his stack the hand before.
Flop Kh 6s Jh - I am in good shape but worried about the flush
Turn As - Now I am behind with a few outs
River 5s - My flush wins it.
So when it is going back and forth how do you handle it? What if you were
the
other guy?

A couple of years ago, I was in a bar tournament that started with
fifity players. We were down to twelve at two tables and five or six
paid. A guy in middle position raised and I had 88 OTB. I had a
shortish stack and needed chips; so did he. I pushed and it folded to
him and he called. He had A9.
As far as I was concerned, we had both played it correctly. The winner
would be able to have a good shot at making the money and it was a
coin flip. I felt good about it.
The flop came with a Nine in it. My opponent started dancing around
like he had accomplished something. I was ready to leave. I didn't
_love_ the celebration but I didn't feel anything terrible had
happened. I wouldn't call it a bad beat to lose as a slight favorite.
The river was an Eight. Mr. Dancer shot me a nasty look and said "nice
suckout."
I don't understand any of it. What matters is how you play. I notice
that the TV shows seem to spend a great deal of time on the board
coming down when people are all-in. That isn't when poker is played.

Good Story. Thanks it really shows how bad some people are. Neither of us were
doing a dance but i know we were both feeling the swings and it could be seen on
our faces.

Nothing really bad, I mean really awful like my dog dying, has ever
happened to me at a poker table. Nothing really good, I mean really
good like the first time I saw my little great-niece, has ever
happened to me at a poker table. As much as I play, I might die at the
table but probably nothing really good or really bad is going to
happen to me at the poker table.
