US CC for bodog?

i probably slept through this discussion, but i'm wanting to start over on
bodog and it looks as if the credit card is the way to go ... if i can get
one that avoids the instant denial of my own visa when i try.

i'm *not* looking for a web scam/site, i just wonder if anybody has had
any luck with picking up one of those visa cards from the store and having
it charged up with a few dollars? somebody's got to get their cut from
selling it or charging it up, but i have no clue how it works.

any suggestions greatly appreciated.
