Not to make too fine a point of this, but Sklansky & Miller ARE
talking about calling an all-in bet preflop - as well as making an all-
in move when first to act with AK. Quoting directly from their text,
(fourth paragraph of Concept No. 22), "For instance, say you are
playing $2-$5 with $400 stacks. An early position player makes it
$25, and three players call. You have Ace of hearts, K of spades in
the big blind. There's $105 in the pot and you have $395 left. Your
best play is likely to move in, all $395." That sounds like a call to
me.
If you have $25 left it would be calling. This is raising $370 on top. Was
your comment in jest?
