Will, our minimum bet is $2. Our max bet varies. But what I said and told
Maverick is that we would not give him any heat as long as his action was

reality of the situation, and that is that all you wannabe 'card-counters'
are dreaming. You can't beat the game. Get a job.

Now why did I give it up in 1974? Oh, because you, or at least I,
can't make much money at it. NOT because I can't make any money at it.
Also, it is boring and no fun. It IS a job and one where playing big
enough to make real money attracts the attention of the casino. With a
spread of bets from $2 to $20, I should make some money. Since it's
you asking, I will drop by. Of course, should I make a lot of money or
should I lose, it won't be surprising either. One evening proves
nothing. I say that in advance, win or lose. It _will_ be surprising
if it is any fun.

Still, though, stop by and take your best shot. I'll comp your dinner in
our Ghost Bar and would like to say hi.

That will be fun.

What casino? If it is in the Las Vegas area, and I haven't counted
cards in twenty-five years, I will be there sometime during the WSoP
this summer if you are serious. If you can't work out the math that
making five dollar bets into a normal or cold deck and fifty dollar
bets into a good deck is profitable, you are too stupid to live and
your employers deserve to lose money. Of course, a sensible casino
wouldn't let you do that but you just said you would.

The house would have a much bigger edge if the dealer had any options
when he acts last. Since he has no options, all acting last means is
that he busts lasts and wins if we both bust. If he has fifteen and I
have stood on fourteen, acting last doesn't help him. As it is,
counting cards works.

You speak poppy*** from a popinjay. I have no time to explain the
obvious
to the obtuse, but I have been in the gaming industry for years and have
yet
to see any blackjack 'counter' that I would worry about.

"Worry about" as in "it would ruin our profit" or "worry about" as "it
would be slightly profitable for the player long-term." I think that
the former IS a myth promoted by the casinos (and the people who sell
card-counting systems) on the basis of some lucky days at the table. I
know that the latter is not a myth, although it is boring and much too
much like work and the return isn't huge.

So I really doubt
if any of you losers, like you or Maverick or Iceman are capable of
beating
any casino at blackjack, unless you cheat, but not by counting cards. As
I
have tried to tell you, that is merely a myth, a myth that is perpetuated
by
the casinos to promote the game's popularity. I don't care if you
believe
me or not. But you are certainly welcome to try your luck at my casino.
As
I told Maverick, there will be no heat if you keep your bet below $20.

What is the minimum bet? If the minimum bet is ten bucks, I can make a
profit with a twenty dollar roof. But not much of a profit. If the
minimum is fifteen, I can't really vary my bet, now can I? Or not by
enough. It isn't the AMOUNT I am talking about, it is the distance
between my minimum bet and the amount I can bet if I want to take
advantage of a good deck.

We
have double deck and 6-deck shoes. Take your best shot. I'll even comp
you
to a dinner and drinks in our Ghost Bar. We're at Sunset and Boulder
Highway, Will. Please stop by and introduce yourself next time you're in
town.

If my max bet is twenty, dinner and drinks will BE my profit. But I
would love to drop in and say hello and play a little.

Good luck to you
