Did I mess this up? -- Beginner's error?

It's a $6 10 person SNG at Party Poker. This
was my 20th SNG so I have a lot to learn. This
was still early, 2nd round if I recall correctly.
A lot of people limping into pots.

I put in a 4x raise with my QQ to thin out the
field and got 1 caller. I put him on suited
connectors as I have observed in previous
showdowns that suited connectors are played
a lot.

With the ragged flop, my $200 bet was slightly
less than half the pot. $350 would have been
better. Should I have jammed here?

When the 4d came on the turn giving him a
straight draw as well, my $300 bet was
definitely not big enough as it gave him
about a 4 to 1 odd. Just enough pot odd
to chase the flush.

When the 5c came on the river, I just couldn't
get a flush out of my head so I folded.

If he had AA/KK, he mostly likely would have
re-raised. He could also have a pocket pair
but I just couldn't get the flush out of my head.
Beginner's error?

If it was later in the game (4 or 5 left), I would
have jammed on the flop. But this early, I
just like to be more cautious.
