in the office trading nasdaq futures against cubes - chicago. first plane
hit, and the reporters on cnbc were chuckling a little bit about how
bizarre it was - small commuter plane they heard. watched the second
plane hit the second tower and traded through one of the biggest, and
shortest, market frenzies i've ever seen.......the networks shutdown; the
exchanges closed. hung out in the office for a bit - smoke and fire at
the pentagon - first tower collapsed - then watched the second. we
decided to ship our profits to whatever funds would be made available for
victims and called it a day. i felt ill walking out of my office; i
wasn't sure the attack was over (glad i was wrong).

i remember walking home in the late morning - the streets were flooded
with people, bewildered and frightened looks on their faces. weirdest
scene i've ever seen. hung out with pals in a bar all afternoon watching
the news. who would do this horrible thing? why?
