: an ad. If this is what you mean, it appears at the upper left.
Well, that is really fucked. The Google search box is supposed to be
centered at the very top of the page.

Shiva,

: The four ads are centered and located directly above the Ramashiva
: Rules title box.
No, those are the banner affiliates. The Google ads I am talking about
should be in the right side bar, immediately below the profile.

: profile
But are the four Google Ads between the profile and the Amazon book links?

:
: No, it is not laid out perfectly by any means - your text is all the
: way over on the left and there is blank space to the right of your
: Amazon ads.
Thanks. That is all I needed to know. The problem is in my template, not
in my computer. Prior to about three days ago, there would be white space
to the left of the posts. You do have your screen resolution set to
1152X864 or higher, don't you?
: Basically what I see is some "blogger" stuff at the very top. The
: Google search box at the top left.
:
: Four ads centered.
Those are affiliate banners. Yes, you can call them ads, but those are not
the ads I am talking about.
: Then your Title Box.
:
: Then your sock stuff.
Sock stuff???
: So I think you have some problem with your site but not too major.
:
: You might also try holding the ctrl key while clicking refresh.
What does that do exactly??? Pardon my ignorance, but I am not familiar
with that as a function with internet explorer. Let me try that to see what
happens.
Nope. I tried it using internet explorer and the formatting is still
completely fucked up.
: BTW - I am using Firefox.
Uh oh. My weblog is only guaranteed to display correctly with internet
explorer. I know this is fucked up, but the reality is that you can only be
sure you are seeing a webpage the way the web designer intended by using
internet explorer. Why? Because Internet Explorer still has about a 70%
market share. Every webpage designer makes damn sure his webpages display
properly with Internet Explorer. You think most webpage designers give a
*** whether their webpage displays correctly with the Apple Browser,
Firefox, or whatever the *** the Linux geeks use? I don't think so.
: Good Luck.
Listen, I really appreciate your help and you have given me some ideas I am
going to try which might solve the problem. All the other posters to these
four related threads have fallen into two categories --
Total assholes who are happy I am having major technical problems.
Idiots like Bill Clark and Patti Beetles who talk down to me when they don't
even understand what I am talking about, much less have the technical
knowledge to solve my problem.
If I want you to assist me some more, I will post another reply to your
latest post in this thread. Again, thanks for the help.
The only drawback to asking for help on a problem like this on RGP is that
some assholes are glad I am having problems, while clueless clowns like
Patti and Bill imagine they can teach me anything at all on a problem which
is way over their head.
