Re: Beau Rivage Grand Opening

I haven't been to Biloxi in about six or seven years. I liked the place but
always said that the "casinos must be built on the water" law was idiotic.
Not only did it needlessly destroy a lot of beach, it was a huge risk if a
major storm hit the area. I'm sad to say I was right. I heard that after
the storm damage the casino owners said that they would not rebuild if they
had to do it on the water again. And, that Mississippi law makers agreed
and said they could rebuild them on solid ground - back from beach. What
happened with this? Is the Beau Rivage built on the water?

Congratulations Johnny,

I drove through Biloxi almost two months ago and was pleased to see all
the Beau billboards - also pleased to see many advertising jobs at the
Beau. I'm sure that region that was hit so hard just a year ago was happy
to see some jobs come back. At least there is one silver lining on this
one year anniversary.

I've already heard great things about the room and I'm hoping to get down
that way later next month.

Best of Luck,
Amy Calistri
