During the final three minutes, they were on the floor,
Sham had one leg trapped, he was working on the
ankle. Question for the foot lockers here - how did Frye
survive? Sham is expert in those. Bad position? Frye
couldn't escape, he grabbed a foot and tried the same
thing, it looked like desperation to me. Then the bell
rang, ending it. Frye won a decision (I thought it too
close to call).
Foot locks can be painful but it is hard to submit someone using one
unless they panic. You need to hook the heel and twist the entire foot to
put pressure on the knee. It didn't look like Shamrock was able to secure
the heel hook.
