OT: movie-fan rgpers

Kung Fu Hustle and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Apples and oranges.
Who like apples and oranges equally?

Innyhoo, for the purpose of semi-full disclosure, here is my list of 'best'
and 'most-liked' movies.

The 'best' list is a compilation based on various criteria, and in no way
represents the opinon of my sponsors. In no order but pseudo-datewise
placement. Nor is the list complete.

BEST
=============
Birth of a Nation (yuck)
Citizen Kane (but I don't like it)
Grapes of Wrath
Casablanca (love it)
Dr. Srangelove
2001
High Plains Drifter (?????LOL. Saw it again recently and put it here because
I continue to be more and more impressed with it)
Master and Commander (what a tremendous flic, and the special effects and
the ship are more impressive to me than KF Hustle's special effects)
My Fair Lady (a full-length gem)
Showboat and South Pacific (putting down the god-damned racist assholes of
the universe)
Dr. Zhivago (Better than Lawrence, a single line of melody, or Bridge,
melody and counterpoint; Z. is a symphony of major historical themes versus
Gandhi's and Killing Field's single themes each, plus the great romantic
theme, the music, etc.
Amadeus

Favorite, as measured by frequency of viewing over the years.
