Re: ONE BIG RANT..SORRY FOR THE BAD LANGUAGE!! (and bad spelling)

The way i see it,,they sre refusing me access to my own money...there
are laws in place to stop a bank doing that...what about low life poker
sites???

Let's assume that you are right about Titan blocking you from accessing your
account.

I am sure that you are aware that most, if not all, online poker rooms are
located offshore. Again with the assumptions, I am going to assume that you
live in the USA. There are a myriad of federal and local laws that outlaws
online gambling. The reasons and motivations for these laws are too complex
and numerous to discuss right now. Suffice to say, that if you go to any law
enforcement or regulatory agency for help they would just laugh in your
face. Nowhere in the USA is online gambling legal.

Titan or any other online gambling site can do anything with your money that
they want with no legal restrictions. Do you realize that you have no legal
recourse here? Let's say that Titan is physically located in Costa Rica.
Which agency are you going to go to?

It hasn't happened yet,but sometime in the future one of the big poker sites
is going to be gutted by the operators. It would just be way too easy for
one of them to get away with it. Do you trust these guys sitting on untolled
millions of dollars in a country where paying off the right people would
allow them to steal your money and not worry about consequences?

The opportunities for fraud are too numerous and ridiculously simple to get
away with. I believe that with increasing frequencies that in the future we
are going to see much more fraud and theft with online gambling sites.

Like I said at the start, I am assuming that the posters suspicions are
true. However, if he can't access the account because of software or server
problems is he going to look silly. My guess is that it is a technical
problem because the income from these online poker rooms is too great to
throw away for small time snatch and runs.

What I have said here is obviously my own suspicions and distrust of online
gambling. I do have the luxury of living in Vegas where I can find a live
game 24/7. I do know people who have done quite well and I also know that
there is a large contingent of online players here. I am not criticising or
judging anyone here, I just don't trust any of these online poker rooms no
matter how rich and famous.

Finally, always tip your dealer generously when playing in live games.
