Pascal's Wager
Quote: "Let us weigh the gain and the loss in wagering that God is.
Let us estimate these two chances. If you gain, you gain all; if you
lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then, without hesitation that He is."
[Blaise Pascal, Pensées, Infini-Rien]
Pascal's Wager is an attempt to justify belief in God not with an
appeal to evidence for his existence but rather with an appeal to
self-interest. It is in our interests to believe in the God of
Christianity, the argument suggests, and it is therefore rational for
us to do so.
Athiests know nothing on Pot Odds.
Unfortunately, 'people of the book' are wagering on their belief in pure
evil. Just look at the Books of Moses: God really endorsed or prompted
genocide and mass infanticide?
And when they spared the girls, what do you think they did with them?
Compared to mass infanticide a few thousand virgin-rapes wouldn't even be
worth mentioning.
If YOU are a father/mother, are you encouraging your kids to commit even
single murders? Do YOU damn them even to daily whippings with a
cat-o'-nine-tails for even a short time? 'God' sends people to hell for damn
near any reason it is his whim to punish? Evil! Evil! Evil!
Evil-*** assholes like the current sharia followers invented the evil crap
we see in the Books of Moses. And it is the fundamentalist Moslems who are
the real Mosaic religionists of today.
Not that 'Christians' aren't capable of the hypocrisy necessary to get
Mosaic on someone.
