i thought the theory was

(A) a virus that makes them disoriented. they're not commiting
suicide, they're sick.

or

(B) they are trying to escape the torture of man made sonar by any
means necessary, even leaving the water if necessary. it would be no
different than the people who jumped from the WTC. you wouldn't
really consider that as suicide, would you?
