7CS - Four to a flush showing

How much does the pot have to be paying before you'll call a bet with
what will be the best hand if the flush ISN'T there?

I called a .50 bet with the pot paying 5.50 and got berated by my
opponent. I won the pot. I figured that the pot was paying 11 to 1
and that was within what I thought the odds of him bluffing.

Was he wrong, or was I?
