Thanks, Torx. I agree that a formula probably isn't going to be what I
end up with, but instead a set of parameters that people can assign
their own values to. There are just too many variables and people
weigh the different elements differently to make a formula that isn't
unwieldy and impractical to apply.

I'm going to keep thinking about it, though, and still welcome comments
and input.
