Ivey vs Lisandro

The people who are speculating about a deal being made because of what
they saw on TV are missing a big part of the picture:
The heads up battle between these two lasted about 2 1/2 HOURS,
not 3 HANDS!
The one hour format of the WSOPC tourneys is really poor and so much
is edited out. Both the Rincon and Tahoe final tables lasted about
12 1/2 hours and weres heads up for about 2 1/2 hours each, but you hardly
saw any of the heads up play or really any of the preliminary play either.
The WPT at least makes a 2 hour show out of about 5 to 6 hours of final
table footage (which begins 6-handed). The WSOPC makes a 1 hour show of out
12 hours of final table footage (which begins 9 or sometimes 10-handed).
As for this specific final table, I can't see any reason Ivey would cut
a deal. The amount on the line in that tourney pales in comparison to
the amount of money he plays for in cash games on a daily basis. Since
the cash means little to him, I would think it would be an advantage for
him to have no deal in place.
